Hi Bjørn,
If you change another setting with the app, is it then implemented? This is to check whether the app communicates well with the K7.
The phone is leading when it comes to time calibration. As far as I know, nothing is done with the time from the GPS data.
Have you tried reinstalling the latest firmware? -
Hi Martin,
How you want to use the K7 is actually as an action camera. So only recording when you want to. The Innovv cameras are developed as dashcams. So continuous recording without you having to do anything yourself. And without you needing a connected phone.
If you want to make a specific recording using the app, you must always have your phone and the app actively at hand. Incidentally, the recordings are then still stored in the camera and not on the phone.
The fact that it is now possible with the app is more of a nice-to-have function. An alternative method could be that you use the button on the remote control. If you press the button briefly, the current recording is saved in the protected files folder. Okay, the disadvantage is that you have to press the button for each recording.
But using the protected video you can more quickly find out what the starting point was of the recordings that you want to save. -
Hi John,
I have heard from several Innovv users on the forum that accessories such as the EzCan cause problems. I recommend always connecting the Innovv cameras directly to the battery.
I hope this is the solution for you too. -
Hi Dat,
If you have downloaded a video to your phone and you play it with the app ‘Local Files’ and you have an active internet connection then you should see a map under your video that shows where you were driving during the recording.
Where in the manual do you read that you should be able to “access and share routes, tracks and waypoints via INNOVV app”. I don’t see this anywhere.. -
Hi Martin,
The K7 automatically starts recording when the ignition of your motorcycle is turned on. When the ignition is turned off, the K7 also turns off automatically. So you do not have to start/stop the recordings with the app.
The recordings are stored on the SD card that you insert into the K7. To get recordings on your phone, you have to download them from the K7 using the app.
Recordings on the SD card can be found in a standard folder, or in an accident folder or in the parking mode folder. This all depends on how you have set up the K7. -
Hi Adam,
If you power the K6 with a USB power bank, does the problem occur?
You wrote earlier that the K6 switches on and off with the ignition, is this through the yellow wire? Not that the red wire (constant power) is switched?
If you turn off the ignition, does the K6 only switch off after a few seconds? If it switches off immediately, I bet that the red wire is also switched. The red wire (and also the black) must not be switched. -
Hi Stuart,
Does the recording stop on both the front and rear camera? You can disconnect a camera to see if the problem persists. That way you can see if one of the cameras is causing the problem.
With a long country road I think of bumps and vibrations. Could it be that the SD card moves in the slot due to the vibration? I once had with my K2 that I had an SD card that was slightly thinner, which meant that the contact was not always good. And the fact that the K7 works again after a long break makes me think about a temperature problem. Does the DVR unit have enough cooling? The cameras may become fairly warm to the touch during use, but not hot. -
Hi Martin,
I’m curious to see what they look like. -
Hi John,
The yellow wire really needs to be connected to a switched power supply. The red and black wires to a constant power supply.
If you connect the yellow wire and the red wire together and let them switch, you will definitely have problems. Videos will not be closed properly when the K7 is turned off. The SD card can become corrupt and your K7 can also cause problems.
The Parking mode will not drain your battery. This is also protected so that if your battery voltage becomes too low, the parking mode is automatically switched off. With a normal battery, you don’t have to worry about a flat battery. I leave both my K3 and K5 on my K1600GT in parking mode for a few weeks. The alarm system is also on. After 4 weeks I can still start without any problems. -
Hi Eric,
The wiring of the rear camera was not too tight?
The connector of the camera was also connected properly? No moisture in the connector? There should be a rubber ring (orange in color) in the connector to make the connector moisture-proof.
Yes, it remains electronic stuff that unfortunately can always become defective. -
Hi Martin,
You can contact Joe (https://jk3d.us). He makes the lens protectors for the Innovv cameras. -
Hi Stuart,
Do you remember if the LEDs on the remote control were on the entire ride?
Missing recordings can be caused by various reasons:- Problems with the SD card. A new SD card can also become defective. Did you format the SD card using the Innovv app?
- Problems with the power supply. Think of a loose connector. Switched power supply that fails, too low supply voltage, etc.
- Incorrect settings of the g-sensor. Are the missing recordings not in the ‘Accident Videos’ folder?
- Connectors that are not properly tightened or have moisture in them.
Can you see what happens at the end of the last video just before the video stops? Perhaps this gives a clue as to what could be the cause of the failure

Hi Vance,
You can see if the K7 can also function as a web server within your wifi network. It’s just trial and error. I don’t know if this is possible or if the K7 has the same capabilities as the K2/K3. See these topics for more info.

The disadvantage of setting it up as a web server is that you have to leave your engine ignition on all the time to keep the K7 switched on.
The fastest way to transfer your videos to your computer is still to remove the SD card from the K7 and insert it into your computer.
Downloading them to your iPhone first and then uploading them to your computer takes much longer. As far as I know, there is no fast way to use your phone to download the videos directly to your computer. -
Hi Mike,
Is it possible that when starting the engine, the USB plug briefly becomes de-energized, causing the K6 to lose the time setting?
When starting the engine, many motorcycles de-energize the accessories because the starter motor needs the necessary power.
Does the K6 also briefly switch off when starting?
