Double-clicking does indeed take some practice to get the right click speed.
Did you format the SD card with the Innovv app? And does the SD card meet the specifications as stated by Innovv, meaning a write speed higher than U1? A card that doesn’t meet the specifications can sometimes cause strange problems. If the camera can’t write files quickly enough, you might have a buffer problem, which could lead to malfunctions. The slow blinking of the camera LED could also be caused by the recordings not being written to your SD card. Or your G-sensor is set too sensitive, and protected (accidental) video is regularly being saved. All in all, I suspect the problems are caused by your SD card.
Also, check your power supply voltage. What is the voltage like, both with the ignition on and with the engine running?

Hi Darren,
If you’ve already formatted the card, all the recordings will be deleted. You might be able to retrieve the recordings with an SD card recovery program. However, once they’ve been overwritten, it’s highly unlikely you’ll be able to recover them. For these types of problems, it’s always recommended to format the SD card using the Innovv app. Even if you’ve already read the card on a computer, it’s recommended to reformat it using the app.

Hi Darran,
If the K7 is connected according to the manual, including the yellow wire connected to a switched power supply, you don’t need to start recording with the app. The K7 automatically starts recording when the yellow wire receives power.
You might think you’re starting a recording with the app, but you’re actually stopping the ongoing recording.
I assume that when you return to the pits, you’ll also stop the recording yourself with the app. -
Hi Michel,
You might still get accident videos. This is because the front fender can hit the K5 when you go over a bump. This could also be the cause of the many accident recordings. I initially mounted the K5 in the same location, but I could see from the fender (small scratches on the black part) that it sometimes hit the K5. That’s why I’ve moved my K5 to a different location.
The Innovv cameras are all good. The only question is which one you prefer for image quality and ease of use/editing options.
For video editing, you can use Kdenlive. It’s freeware and (almost) professional-grade. It does have a bit of a learning curve. You can download it here: http://www.kdenlive.org -
Hi Darran,
Which Innovv app and phone are you using?
If you change a different setting, is it saved?
Were recordings made while driving in and out of the pits, but were there no recordings made while driving on the track?
When you closed your phone, were you still in the app settings for “Loop Recording Duration”? Or were you already back in the app? -
Hi Michel,
Your attachment wasn’t added; something went wrong there 😟.
The sensitivity for the accident videos depends on the G-sensor setting and where the K5 is mounted on the bike.
I have the G-sensor set quite low. In exceptional cases, I rarely get an accident video.
I mounted the K5 in front of the oil cooler on my K1600GT (2018). Next to the K5, you can also see the K3 camera. -
Hi C,
It could be related to the power supply.
Because when the K6 boots up, it takes a few seconds (not timed, but it could be 10 to 15) before Wi-Fi is enabled. Currently, when Wi-Fi is enabled, it requires more power. If this extra power can’t be supplied, the K6 switches off again.
Also, not every laptop can supply sufficient power to the USB port. -
Hi Lawrence,
Do you format the 512GB card with the Innovv app?
Does the SD card meet Innovv’s specifications? Is the speed higher than U? -
Hi C,
Could you clear the cache in the Innovv app?
Is ‘Normal’ listed under ‘Card Detection’?
How is the K6 switched on and off? Does this happen via the yellow trigger wire? -
Hi Kerry,
Good to hear that the app update resolved the issues.
Enjoy your K7! -
Hi Lawrence,
Besides the factory reset, have you already done a firmware reset, reflashing the firmware?
If all else fails, I suspect there’s something wrong with the remote control. Contact your seller to see if they can help you further under warranty. -

Hi David,
Great that it’s resolved thanks to Bob’s tip.
@Bob, swapping cards while the camera is on can cause problems with your SD card. Innovv cameras aren’t hot-swappable when it comes to the SD card. -
Hi George,
The K2 app isn’t the correct app. You need the “general” Innovv app, the one with the red logo.
iPhones also sometimes have trouble establishing a Wi-Fi connection with the Innovv camera. Try putting your iPhone in airplane mode and then manually establishing a Wi-Fi connection with the Innovv camera. -
Hi Chris,
You don’t have an antivirus and/or VPN enabled on your phone?
As far as I know, everything worked fine on your previous bike?
What’s the power supply status on the bike where the K5 is currently installed?
Is the blue LED on the power supply lit continuously?
