Just make sure that the negative (-) wire you connect to the Thunderbox isn’t switched—leave it connected to the negative terminal at all times. Switching either the positive (+) or the negative (-) is a recipe for trouble.
But wouldn’t it be simpler to connect the negative (-) directly to the battery as well, since you’re connecting the positive (+) to the battery? You can have the Thunderbox switch the yellow wire.

Do you have the option to test with a different power source? This is to rule out the power source as the cause of the problem.
When using the USB connection, have you disconnected the N2 from the power supply coming from your motorcycle?

Hi Adam,
Even though there is a card error, it is still possible for videos to be recorded. The error might be located in a different memory area than the one currently being used to write the video files.
Try formatting the card using the Innovv app.
It is also possible that the SD card is starting to fail; SD cards can malfunction, too.

Audio is recorded along with the video.
How is the microphone configured in the app? Is it enabled?
Is the microphone opening unobstructed?

How did you format the SD card? Using a computer or the Innovv app? It is recommended to do this using the Innovv app.
What setting did you choose for the loop duration?
Loading the thumbnails can sometimes take a long time, especially if there are many of them. The loading process also depends on the Wi-Fi connection. Is it possible that the Wi-Fi connection drops while the last (unreadable) thumbnails are being retrieved? What have you set the Wi-Fi timer to?

Could you perhaps send me one or more of the files that won’t play? (Please contact me via PM.) I can then check if I am able to play them.

When you put the SD card back into the K6 after using it in a computer, do you reformat it using the Innovv app? Sometimes, after an SD card has been used in a computer and then reinserted into the K6, the K6 may no longer handle the card correctly. That is why I advise always formatting the SD card with the Innovv app whenever you put it back in.

The DC converter does not cut off power when the voltage is too low; it simply prevents parking mode from being activated under low-voltage conditions.
Consequently, low voltage can certainly still cause problems—especially if the supply voltage is too low and the K5 is activated by the yellow wire being switched on.
There is no battery inside the K5. I think you should look for the solution in the power supply.

Hi John,
It is possible that the power supply for the BMW mount isn’t connected correctly. In principle, the N3 should switch on and off in sync with the BMW’s ignition. Please check that the existing power cable is properly connected. If you wait a little longer after turning off the ignition, does the N3 switch off then? With BMWs, certain switched wires may not lose power until 30 to 60 seconds after the ignition is turned off. Consequently, it might take a bit longer for the N3 to shut down after the ignition is switched off.
Also, is the N3 seated correctly in the mount so that all the electrical contacts on the back are making a proper connection?

It is possible that the problem is caused by the supply voltage being too low. I once had to reload the firmware on my K5 because the supply voltage had dropped below 10 volts, causing the firmware to become corrupted.
Are the red and black wires connected to a constant power supply? Switching the red and black wires is a recipe for trouble.

The cameras for the N3 and the K7 are not interchangeable; the N3 and the K7 are two completely different systems.

The radar has a wide field of view and only reacts to objects moving relative to the radar itself. Mounting it beneath the top case shouldn’t be a problem (though I don’t own an R1200GS myself, so I have no hands-on experience with this specific model). You can test for yourself whether the RC6 obstructs the taillight—making it invisible—by simply holding the RC6 in front of the brake light.

Connecting the yellow wire to a switched power source does not affect CAN-bus operation. For instance, you could use the license plate light’s power supply as the switched source. In principle, it doesn’t matter which switched wire you use to connect the yellow wire. However, keep in mind that on BMWs, certain switched circuits may retain power for 30 to 60 seconds after the ignition is turned off; this can be misleading when taking measurements. Soldering the yellow wire to a switched wire allows you to keep the original wiring intact.

This could be due to sensor deviation.
Every pressure sensor has an inherent deviation; this is a characteristic of the components used.
Additionally, a difference in readings can occur if one measurement is taken after driving—when the tire is warmer—and the other is taken when the tire is cold; warm air expands, resulting in a higher reading.

Do you have a way to measure the supply voltage? Are there any clear triggers for when the K7 switches off or on? For example, does it happen when the bike goes over a bump (loose connection), is ridden in the rain (moisture in the connector), or when you use the horn (wiring running near the horn, causing interference)?

Is it possible for you to connect the yellow wire to a different switched power source? For example, the license plate light? This would help rule out a poor electrical connection. Where is the power supply (red/black wire) connected?
