I’ve done some more testing to see what triggers a parking mode recording:
What doesn’t work: sitting on the seat, shoving the motorcycle from the sides, grabbing the handlebar and rocking the motorcycle side to side, moving the motorcycle backwards and forwards.
What does work: a solid, hard knock with the a clenched fist on most of the frame near the battery compartment (e.g. passenger footrest bracket) where the DVR is located.
This is at the highest G-Sensor level with the latest firmware (IK7.2040705.V3) and latest Android app (1.0.28.20241014) on a Pixel 7 (Android 14).
From my testing, I assume that most impacts from cars would trigger a parking mode recording. However, it seems to be me that parking mode is otherwise quite insensitive, especially if it can’t detect the motorcycle being forcibly rocked side to side.

I’m still encountering this issue. Whenever I’m connected to my home Wi-Fi and attempt to view locally saved videos on my phone, there’s a popup that says ‘First, please disconnect the current Wi-Fi’. I tried using my neighbour’s Wi-Fi network and the same issue occurs.
I’m using a Pixel 7 (Android 14 OS) and my Innovv app is the latest version 1.0.28.20241014.

Insofar as I know, the licence plate light functions as an accessory wire on my motorcycle: supplies power when the ignition is turned to ON, and shuts off when the ignition is set to OFF. The licence plate light does not have a separate on/off switch, nor is it wired with the headlight or aux lights. In my tests, my K7 turns on and off with the ignition, and records without issue when riding so no problems there.
As I mentioned, the parking mode works when I physically poke the DVR itself, which I assume triggers the G-Sensor. But for some reason, if I were to move the motorcycle as a whole (e.g. with a forcible shove) parking mode won’t activate. I’ve turned the G-Sensor sensitivity to its highest setting in the app, but it doesn’t seem to do much.

That’s what I assumed when I noticed the clip on the microphone. Sadly my commutes are too dreary to warrant much commentary.
