It is not cheap, sapphire is expensive and hard to source reliably. It is a Buy Once/Cry Once purchase. It’s also water/dust proof as those are very important for a lens protector to ensure fog doesnt happen in temperature changes.

yeah I am going to email them about this ( and a few other things.. been running the N2 for a week now and … Missing a lot of the features I had with Chigee but the main one is the backup cam. Makes it really nice for backing into a spot!

A few other offerings (CHIGEE, some Carpuride) have the feature that when you slow below a certain speed the system switches to the rear camera (acting as a backup cam or watching out for someone coming in hot behind you easily while keeping your head focused ahead.

Seems like an easy option to add. Hopefully INNOVV does that.

Is the GPS data embedded in the .ts file? In the past (k3 and the like) you needed to have the file format as mp4 to get the gps data in the file for stuff like Dashcam Viewer to work.

I’ve been doing testing and I cant get any data out of the .ts files that would be compatible with dashcam viewer. This a known limitation?

The OG for these cameras (been making and selling these since 2021 for INNOVV cameras). The INNOVV one is a nice cheap one, but mine have been used by hundreds of customers and few have had issues with fogging.

I know the competitor to the N2 over at Chigee has these things built into the device as a function or an option in the case of the OBD2 sensor. The Blindspot detection setup and slow speed switching to the rear camera is a really nice feature of that system.

There are some key steps to resolve that ( as highlighted in the instructions on the JK3D.us site)

First, and most importantly, the seal has to be tight, push firmly on the lens protector body back against the camera while you are tightening the lens protector. Ensuring the Crystal is seated fully in the front of the lens protector.
