I sent an email to Innovv this morning, thanks. I believe they are in Asia (Hong Kong?) so not expecting anything until tomorrow morning at the earliest.

The DVR is located under the seat, there is air around it, but obviously no airflow. There are not many places to put it on a R1300GSA. It’s hot, but it is touchable.

It is possible that the DVR is getting warm. The housing also acts as a heat sink. Therefore, ensure that the DVR is not enclosed and can dissipate its heat properly. The DVR may get warm, but it should still be touchable. If the DVR is too hot to handle, something is wrong. It…

After a lot of faffing about I think I’ve isolated the fault to the front camera, it only fails to record when this camera is connected.
The rear camera works fine on either DVR channel when connected on it’s own.
The recordings fail every time whenever the front camera is fitted on it’s own to either channel.

Let us know if the K7 continues to work well. And should the malfunction occur again, let us know as well. Even though everything is connected correctly, a ‘high-voltage cable’ from the motor can cause problems.

Hi Jeff,
On my unit, there was a very thin plastic protective film on the radar unit. This could be easily pulled off. This film was only on the radar itself, so the square part. I suspect yours still has it on. In the photo, it looks like there is a bit of air under the protective film in the top left.

Keep us posted. Thorough and systematic troubleshooting sometimes takes some time, but it can certainly pay off.

In the final result, the sensor is horizontal or a few degrees down. Works great on the road.

One quick question; does the sensor have a plastic cover that needs to be removed? The Mirror LEDs have a cover and the sensor appears to but I don’t want to damage it if it does not.

I am curious to hear the further outcome.
It is possible that the SD card is the cause of the problem.
The 2-second blinking may be due to the G-sensor being set too sensitively. This results in unintended protected videos.

Hi Tim,
It is possible that the K7 firmware experienced a hiccup. To be safe, you can reinstall the firmware. Also, reformat the SD card after the firmware reinstall.
Set the loop recording duration to 3 minutes. Do this last step to rule out the possibility that the 1-minute setting caused the error.

The STL files can be opened in Fusion. I was unable to open the SKP files in Fusion, although Google states that it is possible. Perhaps it didn’t work because I am using Free Fusion.

I used the free version of Sketchup to make these. The .skp file is on thingaverse if anyone want to tweak them.

Sketchup is fussy but free. I would avoid it and use the free fusion 360 if i was learning drawing software again. IDK if Fusion will open this file.

Screen is not damaged, trust me. Works just fine in carplay to select icons and is generally functional. It’s only this button which no longer works.

I’ve already opened a ticket with support. They’ve responded and are looking into it.

The green and blue LEDs have stopped flashing, but are they not lit at all anymore, or are they lit continuously?

It can take longer for the GPS to get a GPS fix for the first time after an update. Ensure the GPS has a clear line of sight to the satellites and give it some more time while you are not riding the motorcycle.

Hello.

I just updated the app and I double-checked that it’s the latest version, but after the update, the green and blue lights stopped flashing alternately, and I didn’t see the GPS turn red, although it did start flashing rapidly.

The cameras seem to be working.

What do you think?

I’m installing my K7 in a passenger car. I’m fabricating my own mounts.

The one below was for my rear license plate cam.

I decided it sticks out too far and is too vulnerable and am going a different direction.

UPDATE: I remembered how to do the OTA update, and I’m up to v1.7 now.

NEW problem: The option to toggle the flashing LEDs no longer works. I can go to the settings page, and easily flip the settings between MPH/KPH, and also I can turn the “Rest Reminder” on and off, but the “LED” setting does absolutely NOT work anymore.

I can’t get the N2 to recognize that there is an IMG file which is a firmware update on the card.

Instructions say to power up, then insert a card with “ltmotor-emmc-20260618-1440×720-n5-rtl8733bs-release-a9128b6d31d44b2239a8b66311e84469.img” in the ROOT folder.
