Hi Stephen,
You can use the same SD card that the new firmware was on. But format the SD card using the app. -

Hi Bob,
To avoid any problems with the power supply voltage, I would connect the DC converter directly to your battery. This is to rule out the PDM60 as the source of the problem. I have heard problems from Innovv users who used similar installations (also from other brands).
A 5V power supply must be able to supply at least 2A. Especially if WiFi is used, at least 2A is a requirement. As for the 2 minutes WiFi, do you perhaps have the WiFi Active Duration set to 2 minutes? Set it higher.
You do not need WiFi to update the firmware. Updating the firmware is only possible from the SD card, see https://innovv.com/pages/k6-dashcam-support

I also use these sd cards without any problems.
Are you able to test with another sd card. This is to rule out the SD card as the cause of the problem. -
Hi Twan,
The recordings are not saved in the accident folder? IF so, then your G-sensor is too sensitive.
Failure of the K5 can have several causes. Think of loose connectors, no good supply voltage, incorrect connection of the yellow wire, connection via an eZCan that is not configured correctly, etc. etc.
Do you see the recording LED on the remote control light up all the time while driving? This is to see if there is no voltage interruption.
How/where did you connect the power converter? Is the blue LED on the power converter lit.
Are you able to measure the battery voltage while the engine is running? -
Hi Roland,
I’m glad the problem is solved. Thanks for the feedback.
Have fun with your ThirdEye. -
Hi Roland,
I suspect it is a voltage problem. Can you measure the supply voltage at the point where you have now connected the red wire? And can you connect the positive connection directly to the battery and then see what happens? -
Hi Tom,
I understand that you want to play directly from the K6, because you can’t see anything without wifi. Can you download a video? And can you play a downloaded video from the local files folder without the app crashing?
The app crashes with all recordings? This is because I see two recordings in the print screen that are gray. Maybe those two recordings are corrupt?
Reinstalling the app might help. Remove the app (and all data) by going to settings. Click on Apps and then click on the Innovv app. Click on force stop at the bottom right and confirm this. Click on storage and click on clear data at the bottom left. Go back one step and then click on delete. This way the app and all data from the app are removed. Then reinstall the app. -
Hi Tom,
If you want to open videos from the camera files folder, you need an active wifi connection with the K6. If there is no wifi connection, the app will only show a picture as a kind of preview.
Downloaded videos can be played without an active wifi connection with the K6. You can then play these videos from the folder local files. Local in this case means on your phone. -
Hi Tom,
Does the Innovv app go to the main screen or the VLC app?
If you want to play the videos in the Innovv app, did you download them first or are you trying to play them directly from the K6 (camera files or local files)?
If you put the SD card in a computer, can you play the videos?
Are you able to try it with another phone?
You don’t have a virus scanner on your phone?
Are you using an iPhone or an Android phone? -

Hi Kev,
After re-flashing the firmware the password is 12345678.
See this video on how to flash the firmware. The video is made for the K5 but the procedure and the LED displays are the same as for the K3.

Hi Kev,
The only way to reset the password is to reload the firmware. Even if you are already using the same firmware version, that is the only way. -
