Hi Greg,
I don’t have an answer to your question. But I’m curious how you got streaming active.
I would like to know how you do this and with what commands. -
Perhaps to place on the license plate lighting?

Hi Alex,
If the blue LED on the power supply flashes, I suspect a power supply problem. See also the labeling of the power supply. When starting up the K3, too much power is required which cannot be supplied. Can you also measure your battery voltage?
Can you power the K3 with a power bank via the USB connection? First disconnect the power supply. If this does not help, try to disconnect a part (behind camera, front camera, etc.) to see if one of these parts prevents the K3 from restarting. -
Hi Jeff,
Maybe this link is of some use to you?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcvIWHYzhCs
You can find everything you need on YouTube. You can also search for installation instructions for the K2. This installation is almost the same as the K7, except for the separate microphone and remote control.
Or if you have any questions, visit your BMW dealer, they will certainly be able to help you.
Good luck. -

Administrator2024-06-25 at 00:20 in reply to: Double-sided tape recommendation – high temperatureHi John,
I have had good experiences with the 3M VHB tape in warm/hot conditions.
But then it’s not just a matter of quickly sticking it on and hoping it stays put.
I thoroughly clean the surface where the tape will be applied. No grease or other dirt should be present. I then warm the surface thoroughly with, for example, a hairdryer. I also warm the tape. Then stick the tape and press firmly for a while. Only then do I place the part to be glued on the tape with the same cleaning/heating actions. I also ensure that there is no mechanical tension. So do not tighten the cables too tightly, causing the camera to pull on the tape.
Unfortunately, I have only had lesser experiences with brands other than 3M. -
Hi Laurent,
As soon as the K6 is supplied with a power supply, it will start up and automatically start making video recordings.
What you do have to take into account is the power consumption of your K6. It is possible that the CANBUS system of your R1250GSA switches off the USB power supply if too much power is used. According to the K6 manual, the K6 requires a current of 2.5A +/- 0.5A.
If you only want to use the K6 on your motorcycle, it is better to buy the motorcycle version with the 12V-5V converter. -
Videos played from the phone storage work fine. But things don’t go well straight from the camera. I’m thinking more about problems/limitations with the WiFi connection. 2.4GHz is not the fastest connection. Hence the message to first download the file to your phone.
Given the fact that the K5 recordings (can) be large files, direct playback from the camera is not the best option. Download delays do not have to be a problem. But direct playback from the K5 is and remains difficult if the connection is not optimal.
I see the WiFi connection more as a handy tool to set up the K5 wirelessly with the app. I never view directly from the K5 and downloading is quickest and easiest by inserting the SD card into the computer.
I hope to be able to do a test with direct viewing from the camera myself soon. I’m curious if I’m experiencing the same WiFi problem. -
Hi Andrew,
This is a very difficult problem. I’m starting to have more and more doubts about what the cause of the problem could be. The recordings are being made correctly, you have checked them using your computer. So the K5 itself should be good.
Do you still have the option to install the app on another phone? This is to rule out whether the problem is caused by the phone. If the 1st recording goes well, but the 2nd goes wrong, it seems to me as if a buffer is filling up somewhere.
You don’t have a virus scanner active on your phone?

Hi Trevor,
Do I understand correctly that when the motorcycle is stationary the recordings will go well?
Have all parts been replaced compared to your first system?
Does this involve recordings from both cameras (front and rear)?
Has the K3 worked well before? -
Hi Andrew,
GPS data is available in MP4 and in TS. As far as I know, data from the g-sensor is not saved in either file format. Video and sound should run simultaneously, regardless of the resolution and bitrate settings.
What kind of SD card do you use in your K5? Could it be that it does not meet 130MB/s transfer speed with Class 10 and U3 compatibility? -
Do you have the option to install the app on another phone to rule out whether the problem is with the phone or the app?
How did you uninstall the app? Via the play store? My experience is that not all data is deleted this way. The best way to completely delete the app including data is:
1: From your home screen, go to Settings on your Android device.
2: Scroll down and select Apps.
3: Find the app that you are looking to uninstall and select it.
4: Tap on Storage.
5: Tap on Clear Data.
6: Click OK on the “All data deletion” warning.
7: Tap on the Uninstall Button and click OK on the “Do you want to uninstall” message.
Once this is done, the app is completely uninstalled, data included.
Then restart your phone and reinstall the app. -
Hi Gaétan,
Recording sound properly with the H5’s standard microphone remains difficult. I experimented myself by putting a piece of tape over the microphone opening. This only helps partially and is not a 100% solution.
To make a good recording, I recommend that you purchase the separate microphone unit. I built this into my helmet. In the photo you see the standard Schubert microphone with the H5 microphone built into my helmet (Schubert C4 Pro) underneath. Both are equipped with a foam windshield. With this setup I can make good sound recordings.

I am not saying that the motorcycles are not washed with a pressure washer. But they must be used with caution. It’s literally in my motorcycle manual.
I just note that the K6 is IP67. Never realized it that way myself. Would actually expect it to be at least IP68. When driving at higher speeds in the rain, the rain also hits the Innovv cameras with great force. If there is moisture in the K6, it does not necessarily have to be in the SD slot. Moisture can also have entered somewhere else and does not always have to be visible. As a (former) mobile phone repairer, I have seen enough moisture problems.
I certainly don’t want to suggest that your warranty has expired. I hope that you can claim this problem under warranty. I am not an employee of Innovv. I am only one of the administrators of this forum.
My experience is that Innovv responds quickly to questions/complaints. Have you contacted Innovv by email or via the contactform?
@StevenHu Would you like to think about a solution to this complaint?

What happens if you do not record in the .TS format but in the .MP4 format? Can you play the .MP4 videos on your phone?
Can you play .TS files with the VLC player app on your phone? If this also does not work, I suspect that your phone does not have the correct drivers to play .TS files. -
Hi Peter,
Has the bike been cleaned in the car wash with a high-pressure washer (or another strong water jet)? If so, water may have entered the K6 after all.
The K6 is IP67, which means that it is waterproof (30 minutes, 1 meter deep), but is therefore not resistant to strong water jets (not pressure-waterproof).
Once moisture has gotten into the K6, it is difficult to get it out. After all, this came into the K6 with high pressure.
Water from the car wash (probably also mixed with soap), and electronics and electricity is a guaranteed recipe for problems.
So I’m afraid your K6 is definitely dead.
