    Hi Darrell,
The K5 automatically starts recording when the ignition of the motorcycle is turned on.
How do you want to view the videos? What actions do you perform? This can give more information about where things might go wrong.
The green recording LED, does it burn continuously or does it flash?
See the manual for an explanation of the LED on the remote control.
If you remove the SD card from the K5 and put it in your computer, do you see recordings?
In what format is the video recorded, MP4 or in TS? TS files are not recognized by every phone, in this case set them to MP4.
What is your G-sensor set to, if it is set too sensitive, all your recordings go to the accident folder.
A good minute loop is shorter than 5 minutes, so you don’t have to scroll through too much if you are looking for a specific moment in your recording.

2024-08-15 at 00:29 in reply to: K3 stopped working after BMW GS 1250 Headlight update?

    Hi Michael,

    Is the fuse still intact?
Is the K3 receiving power on the yellow wire? If it remains powerless, the K3 will no longer switch on automatically.
If you disconnect the power module from the K3 and connect a USB power bank (with sufficient power) via the USB port of the K3, will the K3 start up?

In general, the charging voltage for a motorcycle is around 13.8V.
The K3 can be switched on at voltages lower than 12.5V (I don’t know what the lower limit is). Only at voltages lower than 12.5V will the parking mode not work. The blue LED of the power module will not light up either.

A too low battery voltage can have several causes, including:
    – too much power consumer (new headlight?)
    – a bad dynamo
    – a bad voltage regulator
    – a defective battery
    – etc.

Can you measure the battery voltage when the battery is connected to the motorcycle and the engine is running? Measuring your battery without a load gives an incorrect indication of your battery status. Even a bad battery can still measure a high voltage. But if a load is connected, it will certainly drop immediately. So measuring with a load gives a better measurement result.

    Hi Jeff,
You can set the wifi active duration to on. The wifi connection will then remain active continuously.
According to the manual, you can start and stop recording by holding the button for 3 seconds. In my experience, 3 seconds does not work, you have to hold the button for about 9 to 10 seconds before the K6 turns off. The K6 cannot be turned on with the button. You then have to disconnect the USB power and reconnect it.

5 minutes of recording gives 2 files of about 175MB (front) and about 140MB (rear). This at a resolution of 2560×1440 P30 (front) and 1920×1080 P30 (rear). With a 256GB card you can then record about 40 hours.
The chance that you overwrite a recording is therefore small.

    @INNOVV
Can you make improvements to turning the K6 on and off using the button on the K6? This if the K6 is powered by a USB power bank. The manual is incorrect in this case.
Also, according to the manual, the recording cannot be started and stopped using the app, which is incorrect. The recording can be started and stopped using the app.
This applies to firmware version IK6.2031107.V1.0.01

2024-07-27 at 15:07 in reply to: Rear camera not connecting to phone

    Hi Richard,
Are the recordings from the rear camera no longer recorderd or are they only not visible in the app?

    1 – Not recorded:
Check the connectors of your camera. Are they still properly connected? Is there no moisture in the connectors. Is the red rubber ring still present in the connector, this is necessary to keep the connector waterproof.

2 – Recorded, not visible in the app:
Are the settings in the app still correct. In the live screen in the app you can press the round gray button at the top right of the screen (F, R F/R, R/F). This allows you to choose which camera you want to have visible. Click on this button and a selection menu will pop up.
In the technical settings you can also indicate how this image should appear by default.

    Hi Bob,
If the audio is present I expect the problem is with your iPhone. Could it be that your iPhone does not have the right codec for the audio?
Try playing the video with VLC media player.

2024-07-25 at 00:57 in reply to: Innovv K6 USB not automatically powering up

    Hi Collin,

To start the K6 when the ignition is turned on, you must supply the K6 with power using the DC converter.
With the DC converter you have an extra connection, the yellow wire that works as a trigger to turn the K6 on and off when the ignition of your motorcycle is turned on and off.
The way you currently supply the K6 with power does not have this trigger function. This is actually the option for installation on a bicycle where you cannot use a switched power supply as a trigger.

    Hi Jozsef,
I looked up some old K2 recordings of my K2.
When I watch these videos again I don’t see the artifacts you have. The videos can be viewed via these links.
    https://forestmountain.nl/innovv/K2-front.MP4
    https://forestmountain.nl/innovv/K2-rear.MP4
Unfortunately, during the recording of the front camera, a large mosquito landed on the lens, causing a dark spot to be seen on the right side of the screen.
The firmware used is the original version V0.74

    Hi Sean,
Innovv does not offer a repair service. But you can always try an email. Who knows, they might offer a repair service by now.

I also suspect that the shipping costs will be higher than ordering an equivalent battery online and soldering it yourself. Maybe you know someone in your circle of friends who is handy with a soldering iron?

2024-08-22 at 23:39 in reply to: K3 stopped working after BMW GS 1250 Headlight update?

    Hi Michaël,

The fact that the LED remains blue indicates that the battery voltage is sufficient to use the parking mode. If the battery voltage is too low, the parking mode will automatically be switched off to ensure that the battery is not drained. The blue LED will then not light up.
If the blue LED flashes, the battery voltage is just at the tipping point of whether or not parking mode is in use.

2024-08-12 at 23:32 in reply to: Cannot Connect App

    Hi Joseph,
After the few seconds that the wifi connection has been present, how does the wifi LED on the remote control light up/flash when the connection is no longer active? And how does this LED light up/flash when the connection is still active?

Can you check with another phone (preferably Android) whether the same problem occurs? This is to rule out whether the problem is related to the phone.

With the K6 I can simulate the problem by offering a supply voltage that is too low (too little power). Result: K6 starts up. Wifi connection is established but after a few seconds the connection is disconnected again. I suspect that establishing and maintaining the wifi connection costs more power and if this cannot be supplied the wifi connection is disconnected.

Attached is a print screen with the correct app, because I understand from the email exchange that there is/was some confusion about this.

Hopefully we can still figure out what is going wrong.

    Hi Joseph,
Did you put the iPhone in airplane mode as I wrote in an earlier answer and then manually make a wifi connection with the K3? When you try to connect to the K3, does the WiFi LED on the remote control light up/flash?
Which customer service did you contact, Innovv.com or another supplier?
