    Hi Doron,
This wobble effect is caused by your camera vibrating.
If you mount the camera in a place that does not vibrate, the problem will be solved. Also use the rubber rings in the mounting to dampen vibrations.
Also do not place your camera on a fairing part that can vibrate.
And make sure that the cable of the camera is not too tight. A (too) tight cable can also transmit vibrations.

    Hi Fabio,
Under my profile I have described how I did my installation on the BMW K1600GT. In this I have described where I picked up the switched power supply. Maybe this can help you too.

If you connect the yellow wire to your license plate lighting, this will not cause any interference on your CANbus system. A thunderbox or something similar could be possible, but I regularly hear that this can cause interference if the Thunderbox (or something similar) is not connected/configured properly.

I would not use a switch, you will just see that you forget it one day and that you have missed the best video.

A power bank could be possible, if it can supply at least 2Ah.

    Hi Bob,
I don’t know what the lower limit is for how many volts the yellow wire needs. I thought around 6V, but with 12V you are sure to be fine. The yellow wire needs very little current (amps) to start the K6.
If the red power wire can get 3A, the K6 has enough current to work fine

    Hi Stephen,
You can use the same SD card that the new firmware was on. But format the SD card using the app.

    Hi Stephen,
Have you read the manual? It describes the possibilities of remote control.

    Hi Bob,
To avoid any problems with the power supply voltage, I would connect the DC converter directly to your battery. This is to rule out the PDM60 as the source of the problem. I have heard problems from Innovv users who used similar installations (also from other brands).
A 5V power supply must be able to supply at least 2A. Especially if WiFi is used, at least 2A is a requirement.

As for the 2 minutes WiFi, do you perhaps have the WiFi Active Duration set to 2 minutes? Set it higher.

You do not need WiFi to update the firmware. Updating the firmware is only possible from the SD card, see https://innovv.com/pages/k6-dashcam-support

    The power supply is good.
The fact that the blue LED flashes briefly should not be a problem.
The fact that the recording LED sometimes flashes seems to me to indicate a card problem.

  • Hi Andrew,
I also use these sd cards without any problems.
Are you able to test with another sd card. This is to rule out the SD card as the cause of the problem.

    Hi Twan,
The recordings are not saved in the accident folder? IF so, then your G-sensor is too sensitive.
Failure of the K5 can have several causes. Think of loose connectors, no good supply voltage, incorrect connection of the yellow wire, connection via an eZCan that is not configured correctly, etc. etc.
Do you see the recording LED on the remote control light up all the time while driving? This is to see if there is no voltage interruption.
How/where did you connect the power converter? Is the blue LED on the power converter lit.
Are you able to measure the battery voltage while the engine is running?

    Hi Roland,
I suspect it is a voltage problem. Can you measure the supply voltage at the point where you have now connected the red wire? And can you connect the positive connection directly to the battery and then see what happens?

    Hi Fabio,
For the newer BMW models, there is often a separate power cable for sale to supply a navigation system with power. This is a cable that contains a ground, constant plus and a switched power supply. The connection for this cable should be somewhere near the dashboard. But your BMW dealer will be able to tell you best.
If you connect the yellow wire correctly, you do not have to worry about interference. The yellow wire does not consume any power. The best way to connect it is by soldering.
I have no experience with the Thunderbox, but does the TB also need a switched power supply (trigger connection) to make it switch? If so, you can also use this trigger connection for your K6.
It appears that updating works best with a small SD card. I have not yet tested whether updating also works with a 256GB card. I do not have time for this yet due to a move. But if you succeed, I would like to hear about it. Disconnecting the battery should not cause any problems. If you have an alarm on your motorcycle, it may go off. Disable the alarm first. You may need to reset the time/date.
Good luck with your installation of the K6. If you have installed it, show us some pictures.

  • I am using a 256GB card.
