    Hi Kevin,
Could you please explain what problems you’re experiencing with the app?
Could you also tell us what make/model phone you’re using and which app version? Without further explanation, we can’t help you, and it’s unclear to everyone why the app isn’t working properly for you. Could you tell us what you’ve already tried to get the app stable?
The Innovv app is well-developed. Users and the forum suggest that problems are more often related to the phone itself than to the app itself.

    Hi Peter,
It’s true that K7 wouldn’t turn on if the constant positive wire was disconnected. Switching on/off is handled by the yellow wire.
The red and black wires must remain connected to the battery at all times.
I don’t quite understand how you connected it so that the yellow wire only receives power when the red wire is connected. If you switch the red wire, this is a recipe for trouble.

    Hi Ben,
It’s certainly possible that a peripheral can cause a crash. So I certainly wouldn’t rule this out.
I’m curious about the follow-up. If the problem persists and no cause can be found, you should contact the seller of the K7 to request a new one under warranty.

    Hi Peter,
I’m thinking the same thing as Martin.
Try disconnecting the yellow wire to see if the K7 switches off correctly. If so, measure the voltage on the yellow wire when the ignition is turned off. There might be a residual current flowing somewhere, causing the yellow wire to remain live when the ignition is turned off.
Are you not using a Thunderbox, HexezCan, or something similar to power the K7?
Where did you connect the yellow wire?

    Hi Steve,
I’ve done some more testing with the K6.
If you use the USB cable connected to the K6, you won’t have any data transfer. It’s only for power.
If you remove the back of the K6 and connect a USB cable directly to it, you won’t see a USB drive on your computer as long as the K6 is turned off. If you turn the K6 on (your USB port must be able to supply sufficient power), you will see a USB drive.
The only advantage of this last option is that you don’t have to fiddle with removing the SD card. And you don’t need an SD card adapter.

    Hi Steve,
Could it be that the USB cable is just a power cable and doesn’t have a data connection?
Try using a USB cable that you’re certain also has a data connection.
By the way, your Chromebook should also be able to supply enough power for the K6 to boot.
I’ll check with my own K6 one of these days to see if I can connect it directly to the computer with a USB data cable.

2025-12-24 at 02:10 in reply to: Innov Lens Protector Fogging up

    A little bit of physics:
While filming, the camera heats up, and the air between the lens protector and the camera also heats up. Warm air expands.
When the camera is turned off and cools down, the air will also cool down. And air that cools contracts. This creates low air pressure between the lens protector and the camera. As a result, if the lens protector isn’t mounted airtight to the camera, outside air is drawn in. And then moist air can also be drawn in. The volume between the lens protector and the camera is very small, so the air movement is therefore small. But if there are frequent enough temperature changes, enough moisture can eventually get in to cause a foggy lens.

Incidentally, I’ve ridden a total of over 60,000 km with multiple cameras on my motorcycle and have never had any stone chips on my cameras. Dutch roads are pretty clean, but I’ve also ridden a fair number of kilometers on less-than-clean roads. For me, a lens protector doesn’t outweigh the risk of stone chips. And I also don’t want to risk lens flare in my videos.

    Hi Riley,
It’s important to minimize moisture between the lens protector and the camera when applying it. Furthermore, both the lens protector and the camera lens must be completely free of grease and clean. Grease can cause moisture to settle on surfaces.
The ambient temperature also affects the fogging of the lens. I can imagine that the front camera catches more wind and therefore fogs up more.

    Hi Ben,
You’re probably wondering what the maximum card size is for the N2 BMW version.
I suspect the maximum card size is 256GB. This is because the standard N2 also has a maximum card size of 256GB. Since the N2 BMW doesn’t have cameras, it also requires less storage.
But if you want to be sure, send an email to Innovv.

2025-12-20 at 18:44 in reply to: K7 installed on a Triumph Speed 400

    Hi Ben,

With DashcamViewer, you can export GPS data as a separate GPX file.

In the app, you can select multiple files to download at once. Check the boxes in the top right corner of the video thumbnails to download multiple or all video files.

    Hi Ben,
    Thanks for sharing your experience.
Perhaps you could add photos of the rest of the installation for other Triumph Speed riders.

    Regarding your comments:
Image stabilization also depends on where you mount the cameras on the bike. Also use the rubber rings to dampen vibrations and ensure the cameracable isn’t too tight.
The housing of the DVR and the cameras do indeed get warm. This is normal as long as they don’t get hot. The DVR housing also functions as a heat sink, so airflow over it would be ideal.
The app takes some getting used to, but I find it more convenient than the web server. Finally, you can configure more settings with the app and download multiple video files simultaneously.
Parking mode can only be turned on or off. The sensitivity of the G-sensor only affects accident videos. You could therefore reduce the sensitivity of the G-sensor. To keep the K7 running continuously, you could connect the yellow wire to a constant power supply using a switch so you can choose whether it should have a switched or continuous power supply..
The videorecordings does have a track log. You can see this, for example, by downloading a video to your app. Then, connect your phone to the internet and play the video in the app. You should see a map view below the video, showing the track associated with the recording.
You can also view this clearly with DashcamViewer https://dashcamviewer.com/
The free version already offers plenty of features, so give it a try.

2025-12-26 at 18:28 in reply to: K7 randomly stops recording and restarts recording during rides

    Hi Ben,
Did you follow the steps I described earlier?
It’s also possible there’s a technical defect in the DVR.
To rule out another component of the K7 causing the crash, you can disconnect the components individually (remote control, cameras, etc.) and see if the problem persists.
A power supply issue could also cause the DVR to crash.
Is the DVR getting enough cooling? If it gets too hot, this could also be a cause. If it works again after lunch, it might have cooled down enough to function again.

    Hi Ben,
The DVR might be getting too hot, causing the K7 to shut down.
To rule out the SD card as the problem, you can:

    • Test with a different (brand) SD card.
    • Temporarily lower the resolution/bitrate (this reduces the amount of data stored).
    • Format the SD card using the app; the file structure will then be created according to Innovv.

To eliminate software problems, you can reflash the firmware (with the latest version).
