The red and black wires should indeed have continuous voltage.
For the yellow wire connection, it’s best to measure ACC1 and ACC2 with a multimeter. I suspect one ACC provides voltage when you turn on the ignition but the engine hasn’t started yet, and the other ACC when the engine has started and is running. The preferred ACC is the one that comes on when you turn on the ignition without the engine starting. This way, you can use the K6 without the engine having to be running. -

It’s possible your phone doesn’t have the correct codecs.
Try installing the VLC media player app (www.videolan.org) and see if it plays the videos on your phone. -
Hi Dean,
Thanks for sharing your experience.

How did you uninstall the app? It’s possible that some app files were left behind that are reused when you reinstall it.
Can you attach a screenshot of the error message in the app?
Did you format the SD card in the K7 using the app?
Can you play other MP4 video files with your phone? -
Hi Dean,
Thanks for the feedback.
Glad it’s all working now.Have fun with your K7!

Hi Brian,
If the yellow wire is connected to your brake light, this would mean the K6 is switched on every time you brake. It’s better to have the license plate light switch the K6 on, as this switches on automatically when the ignition is turned on.The K6 automatically starts recording when the ignition is turned on, so you don’t need to start recording with the app. Check if any recordings are made after 30 seconds.
The green light turns off when Wi-Fi is turned off. You can also set the time after which Wi-Fi is turned off in the app. Check the setting in the app; it might be set too short for you. Try setting the Wi-Fi timer to 5 minutes and see how it works. If Wi-Fi is turned off automatically, your phone will be disconnected and connect to a different Wi-Fi network (Virgin Media).
When you connect the K6 to your phone using Wi-Fi, your phone sees this connection as the access route to the internet. However, the K6 isn’t actually connected to the internet; it’s only a hotspot/Wi-Fi connection to your K6. This may be why your phone is reporting a lack of internet connection. After all, your phone is constantly searching for an internet connection.
In addition, iPhones sometimes struggle to maintain a good connection with an Innovv camera. We recommend putting your iPhone in airplane mode and then manually establishing a Wi-Fi connection with the K6.

Hi Dan,
You need to connect K6 so that the yellow wire is switched. This switches K6 on and off. The red and black wires should always be supplied with constant voltage. However, you can switch them off when K6 is completely switched off using the yellow wire. Switching off K6 takes about 25 seconds. So, after about 30 seconds, the power (red and black) can be switched off. When switching on the power, the yellow wire should only be switched on once the red and black wires are powered. Otherwise, there’s a chance K6 won’t switch on.
To avoid any problems, I recommend connecting the red and black wires of K6 directly to the battery. You can then switch the yellow wire using the Hex exCAN.

Hi Steven,
The K6’s standby power consumption is very minimal. So it seems unlikely to me that the K6 is the cause of a flat battery.
But do I understand correctly that the K6 stays on when the ignition is switched off?
You can reflash the firmware to be sure.
What happens if you disconnect the yellow wire? Does the K6 still turn on spontaneously? Where did you connect the yellow wire?
The LED on the power module: what does it indicate at what time?
If you completely disconnect the K6, what happens to the battery voltage? Does it drop significantly or slightly after a day? -
Hi Marc,
I assume you ordered the N2 directly from Innovv.
If you suspect you’ve been scammed, please contact Innovv at [email protected]. If you’re unsure about the email, you can also try calling +86 752 2675250, Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (GMT+8). -
Hi Dean,
The G-sensor setting only affects the sensitivity of the accident recordings. It has no effect on parking mode.
The button on the remote control might not be working properly. This button allows you to record protected videos. Check that the button isn’t stuck. Also check the wiring for damage and the connectors for proper connection and moisture.
Viewing directly from the camera takes time. If a lot of recordings have been made, it will take a while to download the previews. Furthermore, the quality of the Wi-Fi connection affects how quickly/easily the videos can be viewed.
Have you formatted the SD card using the Innovv app?
Is the Wi-Fi connection working properly while viewing the videos from the camera?
Are you using an Android or an iPhone?
To be sure, you can also reflash the firmware.
If you have more information about what you’ve already tried, please let us know.Just one more comment.

Hi Roman,
I have several Innovv cameras, and the K6 isn’t at the top of the line when it comes to image quality. This is partly due to the hardware used. Here’s a recording I made with the K6, which I placed behind the windshield of my car. This video is unedited. Please note that YouTube may apply video compression, which may reduce the image quality.

Administrator2025-10-22 at 01:02 in reply to: Slow Flashing Video Green Light and No Video (Except for One Time Only)Hi Mark,
The K7 supports cards up to 512GB.
The K7 is not sensitive to CANbus communication. An isolator is therefore not necessary. Try to determine where the (switched) power supplies are connected.
If you insert the SD card into a computer, can you see if anything is being saved to the SD card at all? Also, check the contents of all folders on the SD card.
Moving the DVR can be seen as a trigger for parking mode or accident recording. Parking mode recording or accident recoding also produces a slowly flashing green LED.By the way, ‘Kindle’ displays the message ‘We’re sorry. We weren’t able to load the preview.’ I don’t know what you were trying to post, but it’s not visible.

Okay, good that you now know you need to use the ACC2 to connect the yellow wire of the K6.

Hi Adam,
I advise you to connect K6/K7 differently.
Make sure that K6/K7 is properly shut down using the yellow wire (ignition switched). If the power to the red wire is switched off too early, K6/K7 won’t be able to properly shut down the ongoing recording. Furthermore, the software won’t shutdown properly. This can result in strange malfunctions sooner or later.
