If I understand correctly, you think an app is required to put the new firmware file on the SD card,
No app is required for the copy. Just use your PC to copy the firmware. Put the resultant SD card rd in the K7 and power it up.
The K7 knows to go into firmware update mode when it finds the file at power up.if there is no firmware file it just does a normal startup.
Does that help?

In October 25 you said: “Nothing has changed, but worked all weekend. So I do not know what happened. Thank you for your reply and follow-up.”
Then April 5 you indicate a new problem. Your post DID work, so I think you can post as much as you need.
Also in October you noted you did not install the “remote”…. do you mean the buttons?

Have you played the video on another computer to check if the sound changes?
Post a clip?
And what happens when you increase the volume setting to 5?
Which sounds are muffled, your voice or traffic noises?

Hi, can you post a sample?

No. There is no real time display in the app.
The app is used when you are stopped to access the files on the SD card. Format the card using the app, not your PC. You can move the SD card to your desktop to copy off the files you wish to keep.

Did you ask the tech if he used an isolator for power?

Member2025-10-20 at 04:16 in reply to: Slow Flashing Video Green Light and No Video (Except for One Time Only)Not sure I can help but i believe Innovv states 256mb is the max but why that would cause this is uncertain.
If there was a short in the wires to the buttons maybe it thinks the button is depressed constantly. Look for signs of distress on that cable. It may have been pulled past a sharp obstruction.
Similarly if the power cables are damaged maybe it is in a constant state of startup.
I’d go talk to the tech and confirm how he powered it.
Is your bike using a smart wiring scheme? If so, you need an isolator to get a clean voltage To connect to my Goldwing I installed a box allowing me to get a constant 12 v with no other signals on it
The strange symptoms you have may be caused by data signals on the wires
I’m tapped out!

I also found oddities when inserting a new SD card while it is running. It
Is best to power off before changing cards.
Glad it is back!
