    Hi Adrian,
you can put the firmware on your new SD card without any problems.
Make sure you put the firmware file in the root of your SD card.

At the power converter, is the blue LED still on? If not, there is a problem with your power supply. Perhaps a connector is no longer properly connected.

It is possible that the K3 was turned on by the parking mode while changing your battery. You will undoubtedly have moved the motor while changing the battery. If the K3 then turned on and you disconnected the power supply, the SD card may have become corrupt. Can you format it in your computer and then see if the K3 starts up properly?

    Hi Paul,
I suspect that you will have to claim your power converter under warranty.
The fact that you are quickly having battery problems means that quite a lot of current is being drawn. In general, motorcycle batteries (if they are good) can power an Innovv camera for quite some time without any power problems.
All the more reason that I suspect that the power converter of the K6 is defective.

    Hi Jeff,
I think there is some confusion about the total time that is recorded by you 12 minutes. And the maximum Loop Recording Duration that you can set, 5 minutes (according to Innovv). Apparently the K7 makes maximum recordings of 12 minutes when the Loop Recording Duration is disabled.
With a larger Loop Recording Duration your files will also become much larger. And if something goes wrong with a recording you will also lose a lot more.
I would not use the switch on the yellow wire. With your 512GB card you have enough storage to record. And it will just happen that you missed a nice recording because you forgot to turn on the camera.
Maybe you can also post the pictures of your installation. This can help other users.

    Hi Paul,
If you do nothing with your K6, it switches on and off with the ignition of your engine? Do I understand this correctly? Or does only the red LED remain lit after switching off the ignition? The fact that the blue LED of the power supply remains lit means that the battery voltage of your motorcycle is good.
I have done a test with my K6 myself, but cannot generate the same problem. Could it be that you are not waiting long enough for the K6 to switch off? If the voltage on the yellow wire drops, it takes about 20 seconds for the K6 to switch off. I know from my own BMW (K1600GT) that there are switched power supplies that retain voltage for 30 seconds after switching off the ignition. It can therefore take about 50 seconds for the K6 to switch off.

    Hi Aidan,
My personal experience is that not every vehicle is detected. These are usually vehicles that pass me at a very large distance with a very very low speed difference.
But otherwise everything is detected, see also my test videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8LwaErcInA
By the way, it is not my product, I am not an employee of Innovv. I am just an active Innovv fan who performs the administrator tasks of this forum and would like to provide technical support based on my own experiences.
You have already taken the necessary actions yourself and I can therefore only conclude that the module itself has become defective.
The module is IP67 classified, so dust and immersion-proof. Placing it under your seat should not be the cause of the problem. Unless the splashing water is sprayed hard against it.
I advise you to contact your dealer and submit the complaint under warranty.

    Hi Jeff,
Despite the fact that it was a mild riding, files can be written as accident videos. The sensitivity also depends on where the dvr is mounted. If it is in a place that can vibrate due to vibration from the engine block, for example, this can also be seen as a trigger for accident videos.

Could it be that the SD card is defective? For example, you can put the SD card in the computer and see if you can fill the full 512GB with files. Are there also no files on the SD card that do not belong there?

The different firmware versions have to do with which wifi speed you want to connect the K7 to your phone. 2.4G is slower than the 5G version. So you only need to download one of these versions.

Where did you find both of these firmware versions? At the moment I only see the 5G version in downloads.

2024-09-03 at 23:49 in reply to: K7 and Hex EzCan with parking mode enabled

    Hi Diego,
I have no experience with the Hex EzCan. But for the switched power supply on my K1600GT (2018) I used the round connector under the passenger seat. This is the connector used to connect the topcase. It is the red / yellow wire.
After the ignition has been switched off, voltage remains at this connection for 60 seconds.
The K7 is, if properly secured against draining the battery.
On my BMW I have no problems with draining the battery. I have a K3, K5, ThirdEye and an alarm system connected. I can start the motorcycle without any problems after a few weeks of standing still.

    Hi Jeff,
Have you checked all folders to see if there are recordings?
Maybe your G-sensor is too sensitive and the recordings are in the Accident Videos folder.
Looping should not affect the total recorded GB. Looping only becomes interesting when the SD card is full because it then becomes FiFo (first-in-first-out) with the recordings.

    Hi Aaron,
I suspect that you have a power problem with your motorcycle. Can you also measure the voltage when the engine of your motorcycle is running? Did you connect the red and black wire directly to the battery?
I also suspect that the acc connection (yellow wire) is not connected to a good switched power supply. Does this yellow wire receive enough power when the ignition is turned on?
The blue LED should normally be on continuously. If it flashes, this means that the battery voltage is not correct.
If not enough power is supplied, it is possible that when the Wifi wants to start up, the K3 will fail because not enough power is supplied. Wifi requires more power
I do not know if you are trying to connect with an Android or iPhone. But iPhones can sometimes have difficulty connecting to an Innovv camera via wifi. Advice is to put the iPhone in airplane mode and then manually connect to wifi.
You have the same problem with 2x K3, have you also tried a different power module? I think the problem lies with the connections and the power supply of your motorcycle.

    Hi Aidan,
The ThirdEye does not give a signal for every vehicle that overtakes you.
It depends on the distance between you and the other vehicle, the difference in speed and the angle relative to the ThirdEye. I have also noticed that not every vehicle that overtakes me gives a message. I have set the ThirdEye almost horizontally and I think I get a message faster that way. But that is just a feeling.
Have you checked all the connectors of your ThirdEye to see if they are properly secured and no moisture has entered?
    Otherwise, contact Innovv UK.

    Hi Michael,
I think you can try the same thing with the K3 that is mentioned in this K5 topic.
The point remains that you have to activate the yellow wire somehow to wake up the K3.

    Hi Paul,
Try flashing the firmware again, maybe that will help.
Can you also measure if the voltage on the yellow wire also drops when the ignition is turned off?
