Hi Jedrek,
The fact that the blue LED flashes despite the correct supply voltage is not good. With a good supply voltage, the blue LED should remain on continuously. I suspect the power module is the cause of the problem.
Can you connect the K5 to a USB power bank using the USB connection? Then disconnect the power module from the K5. The USB power bank must have enough power for the K5 to work. If the K5 now works properly, this means that the problem must be found with the power module. -
Hi Jedrekmac,
I suspect it is a power problem. The voltage may be too low to fully restart the K5.
The blue LED is flashing, this also indicates a power problem. What is your battery voltage when the ignition is on?
What happens when you start the engine? Does the K5 then continue and does the blue LED light up continuously? Can you connect a power bank to the USB connection of the K5 (it must be able to supply enough power) to see whether the K5 will restart? You must then disconnect the power module from the K5.

Hi Bart,
Flashing, do you mean the recording LED?
You format the card using the app, not the computer?
How do you switch on the K5? Using the motorcycle ignition?
When recording stops, do the other LEDs on the remote control remain lit/flashing?
Is the supply voltage sufficient? For example, is the blue LED on the power module lit?
Have you tried re-flashing the firmware yet? -
Hi Martin,
To create a video with both front and rear views i use video editing software. The Kdenlive program is free and has many professional options.

Hi Tim,
There are two options to reset the password.
1: Press the button on the remote for 10 seconds.
2: Perform a firmware update. In both cases the K3 will be reset to the factory settings.
Have you first turned on the ignition for the first option? And you can keep those 10 seconds a bit longer, it can be more than 13 seconds.
If the first option doesn’t work, do the second option. Then your K3 is also equipped with the latest firmware version.
To do this, go to this link and click on ‘firmware’ for the latest version and instructions on how to do this. https://innovv.com/support-k3-dashcam/ -
Hi KRTW.
Hopefully you and the motorcycle have not suffered any damage.
I think the K5 has unfortunately died. If it concerns the cable that goes into the K5, it will be difficult to repair it. Or you have to be technically handy enough to open the K5 and connect new cables yourself. The fact that the K5 gets hot also indicates that something is wrong. Normally the K5 does get warm. But when electronics become hot, this often means that too high (short-circuit?) currents flow.
So it looks like you will have to purchase a new front camera unit. If the other wiring to the power supply, microphone, rear camera and GPS unit is still good, you may not need to replace these parts. But that will be trial and error.

Hi Carlos,
As long as the red and black wires are connected to a continuous power supply, you can connect the yellow wire to the Thunderbox. You will also see that when the ignition is turned off (i.e. when the Thunderbox turns off) the K6 does not turn off immediately. The ongoing video recording still needs to be ended in a neat manner. This may take a few or more seconds.
A blue LED on the power module indicates that the supply voltage is sufficient.

Hi Carlos,
The Thunderbox can supply the Innovv with power. It is possible that the K6 will start up when it is offered a supply voltage, but this is not the correct/good order for the K6.
The red and black wires of the power supply must be supplied with continuous voltage. The yellow wire is the wire to switch the K6 on and off as it should. If you now turn off the ignition and the Thunderbox switches off the power to the K6, there is a good chance that the last video recording in progress will be written corruptly. This can also cause problems with your SD card.
When the K6 is off, the power consumption is so low that this should not be a problem for your battery. But since the LED on the power module flashes red, this means that the supply voltage is too low. I therefore suspect that your battery is either old/bad or that it is no longer charged properly.
A power supply voltage that is too low can cause the K6 to not function properly

Hi Martin,
Kdenlive takes some getting used to, but once you know the tricks you can do a lot with it.
The picture-in-picture as you see in the app is not saved that way. 2 separate video files are created, one from the front camera and one from the rear camera.

Strange that Steven contradicts himself. Steven says that you need to install the latest version of the firmware even though the latest version of the firmware on the website is already a higher version. Steven has sent you the previous firmware version.
The K2 dashcam once had a problem with updating the firmware version if an SD card that was too large was used. But that problem was solved a long time ago. So why Steve recommends an 8-32GB SD card is a question mark for me.
The app is for all dashcams, so the K2, K3, K5 and K6. The helmet camera has its own app.
@StevenHu , can you provide more clarity on the above?
Why should the firmware version from the website not be used? And what about the story with an 8-32GB card? Is this only for updating or also while using the K6? -

Administrator2024-04-26 at 00:04 in reply to: K6 Rear Camera Does not Retain Image Orientation SettingsHi Martin,
The maximum capacity of the SD card is 256GB, see also the manual. I use a Samsung Evo 256GB SD card myself. This works without any problems. Updating with a 256GB SD card also works without any problems for me. With a 32GB SD card it will quickly be filled with recordings.
I think there is only one kind of firmware version. The difference between the motorcycle version and the bicycle version are the mounting materials and the power supply. On the motorcycle you can use the power module, on the bicycle you use a power bank with a USB connection. See also the manual.
The latest version of the firmware can be downloaded from the Innovv website. Look at the menu ‘support’ – ‘app/firmware/manual’ – ‘K6 Dashcam’ – ‘Firmware’.

How is the yellow wire connected? It is possible that if the yellow wire does not receive power when you turn on the motorcycle’s ignition, the K5 will not turn on either.
Did the K5 previously switch on when the ignition was switched on?
-
A slow green flashing light means that there is no recording. So there is a problem with the SD card.
Have you formatted the SD card in a computer? This could be the cause of the problem. It is best to format the SD card when it is inserted in the K5. Formatting can then be done using the app.
Do you have the same problem with another SD card?

Hi Carl, The trick is to put the iPhone in Airplane mode and then manually establish a WiFi connection with your K3.
It has nothing to do with the app, it only concerns the connection between the Innovv camera and the iPhone.
