Hi David,
It is correct that the blue LED on the DC inverter is lit continuously. This indicates that the battery voltage is sufficient for the K6 to function properly.
When the yellow wire is switched—in your case, by the back light—the K6 should start up. This startup can take about 5 seconds, so give the K6 some time. Next, the red LED should light up and the green LED should start flashing.
What probably happens when you press the button is that you create a protected video.
If the K6 does not start up when the ignition is turned on, check the yellow wire to see if it is actually receiving power. You can also temporarily connect the yellow wire to the red wire to check if the K6 switches on/off.

Hi Oscar,
The Wi-Fi LED will blink if:- the rear camera is disconnected (so this is not a normal situation)
- the Wi-Fi connection between the phone and the K5 is broken.
So if the Wi-Fi LED is lit continuously, there is an active Wi-Fi connection between your phone and the K5. It is up to you whether you want to keep this active or not. In principle, you only need the Wi-Fi connection if you want to change settings in the K5 or if you want to download videos from the K5 to your phone.

Hi Oscar,
By the light, I assume you mean the LED on the DC converter.
If it lights up red, this means your battery voltage is too low. Definitely too low to activate parking mode. Check your battery voltage with a multimeter when the ignition is off, on, and when the engine is running. Idling speed can also result in a voltage that is too low, so measure when you have a somewhat higher RPM.The yellow wire is definitely needed; it switches the K5 on and off simultaneously with your motorcycle’s ignition. See the user manual for details.
The app must connect directly to the K5. The K5 acts as a kind of Wi-Fi hotspot. Therefore, you do not need to connect the app to your home network/internet.

Hi William,
I assume you mean that the K7’s Wi-Fi connection turns off, and not that the K7 shuts down completely.
Your phone can only establish a Wi-Fi (hotspot) connection with one device at a time. The K7 wants to connect to your phone via Wi-Fi while simultaneously connecting to Android Auto, which is not possible. What is happening in your case is that the device that is the last to try to connect to your phone via Wi-Fi disconnects the existing Wi-Fi connection with the other device. You only need the Wi-Fi connection to your K7 if you want to adjust settings or watch videos. Otherwise, the K7 does not need a Wi-Fi connection. The K7 records video even without a Wi-Fi connection. So, you can configure your phone so that it does not automatically connect to the K7. This way, Android Auto effectively takes priority over the Wi-Fi connection.
If you want to change settings on the K7 or watch videos, you must establish the Wi-Fi connection manually.
You can also set the K7’s Wi-Fi time to a shorter duration. After this set time, the K7’s Wi-Fi will turn off automatically and will therefore no longer disconnect the Wi-Fi connection with your Android Auto.

It seems to me then that the housing was not properly closed. After all, a car wash doesn’t spray much harder than driving through a rain shower, unless a high-pressure cleaner was used at the car wash.
Did you buy the K6 new? If so, you can certainly report this problem to Innovv. I can imagine they are curious how the moisture and dust got into the camera. Please report this via email or the contact form.

Hi David,
Glad the problem has been solved and thanks for the feedback.
Enjoy your K6.Greetings from the Netherlands

Unprotecting the videos is not possible. A protected video can be played and downloaded, however. It will not be overwritten if the SD card is full and the oldest recording is overwritten by a new recording. If you want to delete protected videos, you must format the card using the app.
Can you add a screenshot of the notification? Because the notification looks unfamiliar to me. To view the live camera footage, go to the tile with the image of a video camera in the app.
You do need a Wi-Fi connection to the K6 if you want to do this. -
Hi Alan,
I am curious to see what comes out of it.
Good luck. -

Hi Nic,
The K7 is compatible with 512GB SD cards, so the problem is not with the size of the SD card.
By ‘formatting in the device’, I assume you mean the K7. When you put the SD card back in, is it seated correctly in the slot? Since other cards do function in the K7, you can assume that the SD card in question has become defective.
You could perhaps look for a program that performs a deeper format on the SD card and might be able to repair it. However, I personally wouldn’t trust the SD card anymore. -
Hi Mark,
The bottom should be unscrewable at the ribbed edge. -
Hi Alan,
I suspect there is something wrong with the power supply.
The blue LED should light up continuously blue when the voltage is correct. If the voltage drops too low (to use parking mode), it will start flashing blue. A blue flash indicates that there is a voltage problem.
You can power the K5 with a USB power bank. Make sure it can supply enough power, 2A. First, disconnect the power converter from the K5 and only then connect the power bank.
This way, you can rule out whether the problem is caused by the power supply. -
Hi David,
If you watch the videos via the laptop, in which folder are they located? You need to look in the same folder in the app as well.
What steps do you take to view the videos in the app?
Additionally, it is possible that if you have watched videos on the laptop, they are no longer visible in the app. Sometimes, if an SD card is read in a computer, it is not recognized correctly by the camera afterwards. Try formatting the SD card with the app, then make a recording, and then check in the app first to see if you can view the recordings.
It is also possible that if you have made multiple recordings, it takes a bit longer before you see the thumbnails. -
Hi Anthony,
If the sensors are the same as with the N1 (which I do expect), then they can be opened. After all, you also need to be able to replace the battery in the sensor yourself. -
Hi Charles,
Please ensure that before using the Powerhub as a power source for the K6, you properly switch off the K6 (using the button) before the power is cut off by the Powerhub. If the K6 is not shut down properly (manually/via the yellow wire), this is a recipe for trouble. Failure to shut down the K6 properly can cause the recording in progress to not be finished correctly, making it unreadable. Additionally, the SD card can become corrupted, resulting in all sorts of strange problems. Compare it to a computer; you have to shut that down properly too.
