Hi Charles,
To make the K6 start and stop automatically, it must be controlled via the yellow wire (ignition switched). I believe the PowerHub 3 is indeed switched via the ignition, but it then abruptly cuts off all power supplies. And you don’t want that with the K6.
But if you want to be sure about this, send Innovv an email. -
Hi Alan,
What does the power converter show when the ignition is on, and what when the engine is running?
If you don’t insert an SD card into the K5, does the K5 boot up properly?
Try it with a different SD card anyway. Regarding the firmware update, what kind of card did you use? The advice is to perform this with an SD card no larger than 32GB. -
Hi Andrey,
Thanks for sharing the photos.I am surprised that there is dust inside the K6. This is because the K6 is IP67 rated. IP67 is an international standard indicating that a device is completely dustproof and protected against temporary immersion in water.
Could it be that the rubber ring at the seal on the back is missing, meaning when you unscrew the K6 to access the SD card?
By the way, Innovv will not be placing spare parts in the webshop. Innovv only sells individual parts that can be replaced without tools. -
Hi Andrey,
A lens won’t wear out very quickly. Therefore, replacing the lens won’t be necessary anytime soon. Additionally, there is a very high chance that you won’t be able to make it properly waterproof again.
The front lens will catch more dirt than the rear lens, so check if it is still clean.
Also, the specifications (technical and optical) of both lenses are different; see the manual. This also results in a difference in image quality between the two lenses.
Additionally, you often have sunlight on only one of the lenses and not on both at the same time; this also causes a difference in brightness.
The camera rolling shutter effect occurs because your rear camera vibrates too much. Check if the camera mount is still secure. You can add rubber rings as dampers if necessary. It can also occur if the cable is too tight. This causes vibrations to be transmitted to the camera as well. Consider placing the camera in a different location on your motorcycle. -
I understood your topic title that way…
I assume that the interface of the N2 and N3 will not be the same. Software-wise and hardware-wise, they are different devices. But when the N3 goes on sale, hopefully more info will become available. -
Hi Darren,
I assume you do have the N2 Display for BMW?
Do you have photos/video of the mount and the back of the N2 BMW?The manual does mention:
Important Notes:
1. Clone mounts sold in the aftermarket differ structurally and electronically from genuine BMW mounts; the N2 is not compatible with them. Ensure you are using an original BMW mount to avoid damaging related components.
2. Due to the wide variety of BMW models, production years, and differences in onboard computer software versions, compatibility issues may occur. If problems arise,
please contact our after-sales service promptly. Is there no visible damage to the mount that would prevent the N2 from clicking properly?
I certainly wouldn’t use graphine powder because it is conductive. So, if too much graphite powder remains, you could cause a short circuit between the electrical connections. With GT85, there is a chance that dirt will stick to it again. In principle, the N2 BMW should click into place normally without requiring too much force. -
Hi Teijo,
That is always the risk when you buy something. For example, if you buy the latest iPhone model today, you will see that a new model is launched tomorrow.
Manufacturers are not going to wait until everyone has bought a specific model. At Innovv, too, developments simply continue. -
Hi Rob,
I think that if you are a handy technician who knows something about electronics, you should be able to pull this off. I am therefore very curious about the result. You could use the signals from the ThirdEyes display as input for the AIM MXS. Do pay attention to the voltage level the Third Eye provides and what you can use as input on the analog input of the dashboard. If you succeed, please post photos and/or video😃.

Hi Roland,
Unfortunately, Google isn’t always right.
I rely on the Innovv website as the source of info about the N2, and according to their website, it is only possible via the SD card. -
Hi Roland,
Maybe I’m overlooking it, but where did you read that the N2 can get a firmware update via the app? Do you have a screenshot or a link for me where this is mentioned?
As far as I know, the N2 cannot get a firmware update via the app.
The Innovv website only mentions an OTA firmware upgrade. But it doesn’t say that this has to be done via the app. There is also no further explanation provided regarding the OTA firmware upgrade.
Additionally, under support, it only mentions how to perform a firmware upgrade using an SD card. -

Hi Dennis,
‘access the video/image files on the SD card via the camera‘ isn’t this via the Wi-Fi/app connection? Or do you mean another way of connecting to the K7?
For most Innovv dashcams, there are only a few options for downloading the files:- Using the Innovv app
- SD card in computer
- Connect computer to Innovv Wi-Fi and then download files via web browser (don’t know if this works on the K7 as well)
- Connect computer to the camera via USB connection (is there one on the K7?)

Hi Darren,
From a distance, it is difficult to say how hard you can push.It is possible that once the N2 is clicked into the holder, it might work better the next time. Perhaps just the minimal edges that get in the way have worn away after the first click.
You could ask your dealer if they have a navigation device that they can click into the holder to see if that works properly. This would allow them to check whether the problem lies with the holder or the N2.
As a lubricant, I would use an acid-free product so that the plastic is not damaged. I often use a little bit of silicone spray or just some white Vaseline myself. (That is my personal advice and not advice from Innovv).

Hi Dennis,
When you are in the app, can you see the live footage from the cameras? What do the LEDs on the remote control indicate: blinking, constantly lit, or not lit at all?
If you read the SD cards in a computer, are they really completely empty? Or is a folder structure still being created?
It would be a huge coincidence if 2 K7s were giving the same problem at the same time. I am therefore leaning more towards a problem with the installation of the K7 on your motorcycles.Reading the video footage when the engine is off is only possible by removing the SD card from the K7 and reading it in a computer. The video footage is only stored on the SD card; the K7 has no internal memory for storage.
Another option would be that if the engine won’t start anymore (ignition won’t turn on), you disconnect the yellow wire and connect it to the positive terminal of the battery. That way, you can still start the K7. -
Hi Dennis,
Do you have more info? For example, what have you already tried yourself? Are you testing with one SD card on both motors, or do you have the same problem with two SD cards? Does the SD card meet the specs set by Innovv, and so on and so forth. In short, the more info, the better we can help you.
