Or in other words&#8230;.you would buy a new K5. So &#8220;repairing&#8221; the K5 may be worth trying if you plan to buy a new one anyway. </p>
<p>But before that I would check if it is moisture. You could put the DVR in an oven and let it run at 50-60°C for a while.&hellip;</p>

<p>Yes, the yellow wire is required. It tells the K5 when the ignition is on and when it is off. That is why the yellow wire must be connected to a circuit that only supplies 12V when the ignition is on. Otherwise, the K5 wouldn&#8217;t know when to turn on.</p>

After enabling the parking mode, the K5 stayed in that mode, even with ignition on. As a result, the K5 started, recorded a short 20 sec video and went back to sleep. Just to repeat this again after a minute or so. </p>

<p>there are two reasons for the delay. The first one is the one Hans already mentioned. The K6 needs some time to boot up. Should be around 10 sec or so. </p>
<p>When used with the K6 power supply, then there is a fixed delay within the power supply itself. If I remeber correctly, this delay is around 15 sec. Some motorbikes cut off power&hellip;</p>

<p>a continuous reboot may also occur if the DVR cannot detect the front camera. So I would suggest to check the connection for the front cam. You could also disconnect the front cam and connect the rear cam to the front connector to check whether the fron cam is defective.</p>

<p>Please turn off the automatic Wi-Fi shutdown and check whether this changes the behavior.<br /><span>The moment the Wi-Fi switches off, recording stops for a few seconds on my K3. It is very likely that the same thing happens on the K7.</span></p>

<p>ich verstehe deine Frage nicht so ganz. Die Kamera startet doch mit dem Einschalten automatisch mit der Aufnahme. Inwiefern kann sie dann mit einer Aufnahme beginnen, wenn Du den Knopf drückst?</p>
<p>Knopf drücken heißt, daß die Kamera die aktuelle Aufnahme in den geschützten Ordner legt.</p>

<p>well&#8230;you could connect your K5 via USB to your computer to copy the files. But as USB at the K5 isn&#8217;t faster than 5GHz wifi and you have to remove the sd card cover anyway to access the USB port, it would be easier/faster to remove the sd card then.</p>

<p>Sorry Hans to have to correct you. None of the cameras of the K2 are used as wifi antennas. The wifi antenna of the K2 is right within the DVR.</p>

<p>the &#8220;Logging firmware&#8221; is for testing purpose only. I can&#8217;t say whether it has a negative impact or not. But I won´t suggest to use it all the time.</p>
<p>Better use the latest original firmware or, if you want a higher bitrate, the one modified by me which boost the bitrate to 20 MBit.</p>

I already tried and talked to Rock about that. The limitation comes from the EIS functionality, for which they added additional encoders within the cameras itself. And these encoders are very limited regarding the encoding bitrate.</p>

<p>die Einstellungen passen soweit eigentlich. Den G-Sensor hast Du abgeschaltet, also wird die K7 keine vermeindlichen Unfall Videos erkennen und gesondert abspeichern. Wäre auch meine Einstellung, da es sonst zu Fehlalarmen kommen kann. Außerdem hast Du eine 512MB Karte drin. Bis da ein Video überschrieben wird, dauert es.</p>

<p>As FAT32 does not support volumes larger than 32GB, every OS will deny formatting the card in FAT32. So if a sd card is larger than 32GB, it is very likely not formatted in FAT32.</p>

<p>I had the exact same issue with my K3 and EZcan. It all started after I disconnected the battery for a while for another reason. After that, EZcan stoppped signaling the status of the ignition on the third wire, so the K3 did not start.</p>

<p>the first test I would do is powering the DVR by USB. Just use normal wall charger for smartphones with at least 2A. If the DVR starts up, chances are good that the DVR is ok and that only the power module got broken. </p>

<p>depending on the loop settings and the size of the sd card, you will end up with a lot of videos before the K5 starts to overwrite the oldest videos. But that&#8217;s normal.</p>

<p>The button can be used for both save recordings and take pictures.</p>
<p>&#8211; one press ==&gt; save video to protected folder</p>
<p>&#8211; press twice ==&gt; take picture</p>
