<p>K6 should be capable of recording 2k on front camera, but if you are happy with 1080 then that&#8217;s great.</p>
<p>It will also allow more recordings before the sd card is full &#x1f44d;</p>

It wires to battery and can give constant or switched power. You can feed 6 different accessories. </p>
<p>I use it for K6 (constant power), Satnav (switched power), usb socket (switched power), and heated gloves (switched power).</p>

<p>Therefore, you only use the WiFi for changing settings on K6.</p>
<p>3 mins is probably long enough to do this.</p>

<p>Yes, just connect as per instructions. </p>
<p>Red and Black to battery or other permanent power supply. Yellow to switched power source.</p>
<p>Camera should start recording a few seconds after ignition is switched on, and stop a few seconds after ignition is switched off.</p>

<p>How have you wired in your k6? (USB or supplied power converter?)</p>
<p>At start up the k6 should start recording (red light) and enable WiFi (green light). Check the instructions to see what the light sequences signify.</p>
<p>You can change the length of recording loop in the app, but 5 mins is longest. This makes the files easier to play and download.</p>

<p>The K6 will work fine without connecting to your phone (switching on and off with ignition), but obviously the app won&#8217;t work if not connected. </p>
<p>K6 doesn&#8217;t have Bluetooth . </p>

<p>It will draw a small amount of power when bike is switched off, but this is minimal. </p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t use an optimiser when bike is not used for longer periods, you could disconnect the battery.</p>

<p>Yellow just triggers the K6 on/off for standard functions. Otherwise it sits in sleep mode unless it detects a vibration or colision.</p>

<p>First of all, double check the wiring, especially the yellow signal wire.</p>
<p>Also, have you updated the K6 to latest firmware ?</p>

Try switching the camera on and off manually while ignition is on. Or, use the supplied power adapter which will power the camera on and off correctly depending on ignition state.</p>
<p>Your USB is probably losing power too quickly so camera cannot power off correctly.</p>

<p>Good to see the camera is actually recording.</p>
<p>Might be worth clearing the cache on the app. That should force it to re-populate from the camera.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve not managed to fill my SD Card yet, and I have an android phone, so this is just general advice. </p>

<p>Can you show exactly how you have wired the power converter?</p>
<p>This is not an issue with K6, as the power converter should stop supplying power after ignition is switched off.</p>
<p>So possible power converter issue, or system is mis-wired.</p>

<p>Can you double check your voltage readings?</p>
<p>If the power supply is switching off and supply 0v, how can your camera still be operating and drawing power?</p>
<p>The power converter should continue outputing 5v for 25 seconds after ignition is switched off.</p>
